HWINFO and Ryzen master are about the only 2 that are even close to accurate. What speed does ryzen master see you doing? getting accurate speeds out of windows for my 3600XT is a struggle, task manager thinks I am always on at least 4ghz when really cpu cores might be off and its actual speed is not even close. Technically the CPU is being kept at a decent (I think) 50C. I used to cool it with the fan that came with the CPU, that was working fine but mostly for aesthetic purposes, I decided to get a Corsair H150i Elite AIO Cooler. Motherboard: MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI Maybe this is normal, it just doesn't seem to make sense to me, if the CPU is not doing much, why is it heating up and running at higher rates than what it's supposed to (based on the 3.6Ghz claim). I've gone into dragon center and changed the settings to custom, making it 3.9Ghz, which usually calms the fans down, but after a few days I will see that everything is back up to that 4.2Ghz and I can hear the fans going again. I apologize if this thread is in the wrong place or if my question has been answered previously, I didn't really know how to properly look because I'm not even sure what my question is.īasically the chip is supposed to be a 3.6Ghz ship, in MSI Dragon Center however it always seems to be running at 4.2Ghz (if I'm reading things right) and the fans always seem to be working harder when the computer is idle (CPU usage 5 or 6%).
